About us
A family foundation with a simple purpose
Kate and Dave Spaeth founded Love and Luck • Love and Smiles to help children and families in the East Valley experience the special moments every childhood deserves.
Love and Luck • Love and Smiles Charitable Foundation helps struggling families and underprivileged children experience special childhood memories and moments of joy, creating lasting happiness for those who need it most.
We are a registered Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving struggling families and underprivileged children in Gold Canyon, Mesa, and the greater East Valley.
Our work is practical and personal. We help fund birthday celebrations, family outings, and other memory-making experiences that too often fall out of reach when a household is focused on getting through the day.
In August 2026 we hosted our first annual Charity Golf Tournament with 72 players, volunteers, and sponsors — including on-course contests, a comedian on Hole 9, raffles, and a hygiene product drive. That gathering is how we turn local generosity into lasting childhood memories.
The Spaeth family has long believed that small, kind moments matter. This foundation is our way of extending that belief to children who need a little extra love, luck, and smiles.
